The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Higher Education and Science Committee

On June 27, the Chairman of the RA MES State Committee for Science Mr. Samvel Haroutiunian signed a cooperation agreement with the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (also known as the Bortnik Foundation in honor of its founder) in Moscow, Russian Federation.

On 27-28 June 2016, the 3rd workshop of the 'Eastern Partnership Science, Technology and Innovation Evaluation Platform' took place in Tbilisi, Georgia. During the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding on the ‘Establishment of Eastern Partnership Science, Technology and Innovation Regional Evaluation Platform’ was signed by the representatives of the Republic of Armenia, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. 

Researchers and innovators from Armenia will now have full access to Horizon 2020, the EU's research and innovation funding programme, under the same conditions as their counterparts from EU Member States and other associated countries.

The negotiations over the Agreement on Armenia’s association to the Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) were initiated as far back as July, 2013.

On April 29, the Chairman of the MES RA State Committee of Science attended the Science and Technology Convergence Forum, hosted by the RA National Academy of Sciences.
