The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Higher Education and Science Committee

June 3-5, the chairman of the RA State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, S. Harutyunyan, and the vice president of the RA National Academy of Sciences, academician Yuri Shukurian, in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana, participated in the International Science and Technology Centre (ISTC) business meeting, as well as in the ISTC 59th session of the ISTC board of managers and coordinators.

InTbilisi, May 13, the Chairman of the RA State Committee of  Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, S. Harutyunyan, and the president of the RA National Academy of Sciences, R. Martirosyan, have signed a document of the “South Caucasus Geosciences” International Research Group (GDRI) for making amendments and additions to the GDRI foundation agreement, which prolongs the International Research Group’s (GDRI) “South Caucasus Geosciences” activity period.

One of these days, the chairman of the RA State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science hosted the vice president of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Armenia, Emilio Lozada Garcia (residing in Moscow).

On February 7, during the advanced sitting of the YSU academic council, the chairman of the RA State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science made a report on “The Programmes and Funding of the Scientific and Scientific-technological Field in Armenia”.

According to RA Defence Minister S. Ohanyan’s command, the chairman of the RA State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, Samvel Harutyunyan, has been awarded the “Vazgen Sargsyan” honour of RA Armed Forces.

The results of the Joint Call “RA MES SCS - RFH - 2014”, organized by the joint efforts of the  RA MES State Committee of Science and the Russian Foundation for the Humanities, were summarized.

Today the press conference of the Chairman of the RA State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, Samvel Harutyunyan, was held, the subject matter of which was “The priorities and programmes of 2014”.
