The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Higher Education and Science Committee

The results of the Joint Call “RA MES SCS - RFH - 2014”, organized by the joint efforts of the  RA MES State Committee of Science and the Russian Foundation for the Humanities, were summarized.

Today the press conference of the Chairman of the RA State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, Samvel Harutyunyan, was held, the subject matter of which was “The priorities and programmes of 2014”.

On October 4, State Committee of Science and Thomson Reuters  Inc. signed a three-year Agreement on Cooperation, which aims to provide Armenian scientific organizations with free access to the Web of Knowledge resources (http://webofknowledge.com).

With the support of the RA MES State Committee of Science the RA NAS Institute for Ecological Noosphere Studies and ,,Golos Armenii” have initiated the publication of a new popular science supplement Most.

The Governing Board of the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) held its 55^th meeting in Moscow. Тhe Republic of Armenia participated in the meeting as the rotating CIS Board member.

Resources from Thomson Reuter Web of Knowledge system have been available for Armenian scientific community since 22 February 2012. According to the preliminary agreement the resources were to be available free of charge until 22 May 2012,  afterwards the parties were to come to an agreement on the terms of cooperation.

State Committee of Science organized the review of the repots for the projects recommended for funding within the frames of 2011 – 2012 Call for topic-based funding. Reports and review results were presented to the specialized expertise committees.
